Level One - Step Four

Legato/Free Stroke Doubles 

Now that you have completed Level One - Step Three and have mastered the single Legato/Free Stoke... it is time to double it. This is a very important part of your development. Building a strong foundation and understand of double strokes will for a great foundation to build roll, drag and paradiddle rudiments to your vocabulary. 

Spend time mastering this technique and work through the videos in order.

The exercise was taught to be by an Ontario drumline legend and one of the most humble and loving people I have every met... Jim McCaulley. This exercise was taught to him by the DCI Legend Tom Float back in the 70's in Toronto. This is a great example of exercises being handed down generation to generation.
